Between seasons, the Mosley Tribes team focuses on a region of the globe that will bring a new visual perspective to the collection. This season we discovered our core inspiration on the magnificent island of Kauai. Ideal for off-the-beaten-path exploration, this piece of paradise offered rugged dense jungles with epic waterfalls, rugged coastlines with hidden beaches, sand swept dunes and mist covered mountaintops. The influence of the lush and varied landscapes is reflected in the color and texture selections found in the 2011 Summer styles, which includes earth-toned tortoise laminates, camouflage and natural hues. To create a fitting accessory for such adventure, Mosley Tribes teamed up with Los Angeles-based Temple Bag Co. to design a custom frame case and parachute pouch using authentic, military-grade fabrics and re-purposed WWII era materials. Mosley Tribes designs modern interpretations of traditional classics that combine the necessity of performance without sacrificing style. The frames feature VFX Glass lenses (Visual Effects), the ultimate in lens technology and the most functional lenses available based on environmental light conditions. Season after season we continue to push our product and visual creativity to new heights and are grateful to all our global partners that share in our passion for creative excellence.
